DEAN LICKYER, BOBNOXIOUS To Open For KISS At Sarnia's ROGERS BAYFEST

April 29, 2009

According to The Sarnia Observer, DEAN LICKYER and BOBNOXIOUS (featuring RAZOR singer Bob Reid) will take the stage as opening acts for KISS at this year's 11th annual Rogers Bayfest in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada on Friday, July 10.

"It's exciting," said organizer Michele Stokley. "People have been asking and asking; it just adds to the excitement and gets people to travel further to see us."

DEAN LICKYER, a group of four young Canadian rockers, were hand-picked by KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons to open for the legendary U. S. band.

All under the age of 21, the Hamilton-based band was recently awarded $10,000 by Simmons, who chose them as the top pick for best band at Canadian Music Week 2009.

"This is going to be the first opportunity for the two bands to play together on stage," said Stokley.

Also opening on Friday will be London-based BOBNOXIOUS, who will bring their signature brand of "two-fisted, twisted rock and roll" to the Bayfest stage.

"The crowd he brings is a very, very loyal fan base," Stokley said of frontman Bob Reid.

BOBNOXIOUS has played a number of shows in Sarnia, she said, and will bring a "high-energy, exciting show."
